Here’s another example of the spotted pattern previously used. These t shirts are great for the South African Tourism Industry and is different from the normal big 5 designs that can be seen everywhere on the flea markets and stores like those at the V&A Waterfront. We are starting out with fairly simple designs but it will become more intense as we go along. This design is for sale at R150 – you get the CorelDraw file for the design only. Here’s the first of many print designs. All the designs in this category (t shirt inspiration) can be purchased for R150/design (vector artwork only). The design is sold to the first bidder, so if you like it and want to print some t shirts, just contact us. We will also be posting some colour palettes and patterns on a regular basis, just to get your creative juices flowing. This design called “spotted rhino” is great for the Tourism Industry as it is modern, different and simplistic.
I haven’t been posting for a long time because we are in the process of releasing our online corporate and promotional gift store and that has been taking up quite a bit of my time. We are proud to say that our store will be supplying eco-friendly products.

We have a new range of locally produced t shirts with nothing but the South African flag for a label. These t shirts are from our LavaLab range and is ideal for all for retail and promotional purposes. The cut is slim fit and they are made of 100% cotton – a perfect product for chucking on some crazy designs for Spring.

The Philani Child Health & Nutrition Project is a community-based non-governmental organization (NGO), operating in the informal settlements of Khayelitsha, Crossroads, Brown’s Farm, Mfuleni, Nyanga and Delft on the outskirts of Cape Town, 20-30 km from the city centre. An estimated 750,000 to 1 million people live in these areas (the majority of whom originated in the Eastern Cape), in simple core houses or informal dwellings made of corrugated iron, wood, and plastics – many overcrowded and without water and sanitation.
If you read through this blog you will notice that most of my posts are about work that we’ve done for other companies. This is because Lava Ink is not like other clothing firms – we do not sell our own designs. We are a garment engineering company and our product is our connections, experience and knowledge. This is where Lava Ink comes in. We take away all the hassles and make your idea a reality.
